Wynn, Nobu, JW Marriott and the rest. Every hotel under construction on Al Marjan Island, with opening dates and what each one is bringing.

The New Hotels Shaping Al Marjan Island’s Future

Al Marjan Island is entering a new phase of growth. Alongside its established beachfront resorts, a pipeline of internationally recognised hotel brands is set to introduce new dining, wellness, entertainment and lifestyle experiences to Ras Al Khaimah.

More than simply expanding the island’s room inventory, these developments have the potential to transform Al Marjan Island into a complete hospitality destination—one that appeals to luxury travellers, families, residents and visitors from across the UAE.

Janu Al Marjan Island

The latest addition is Janu Al Marjan Island, the socially focused sister brand of Aman. Construction officially began in July 2026, with the property expected to open in 2028.

The 132-room hotel will place wellbeing, meaningful connection and shared experiences at the centre of its concept. Guests can expect contemporary architecture, wellness facilities, restaurants and vibrant social spaces designed to encourage interaction rather than isolation. It will be Janu’s first property in Ras Al Khaimah and only its second destination in the Middle East.

JW Marriott Al Marjan Island Resort

JW Marriott Al Marjan Island Resort is being developed as part of a large hospitality and residential project by WOW Resorts. Current plans include approximately 300 hotel rooms alongside 474 branded residences.

The resort is expected to deliver the refined, service-led experience associated with JW Marriott, supported by beachfront leisure facilities, restaurants, wellness spaces and event venues. Its combination of hotel accommodation and residences also reflects the island’s growing potential as both a tourism destination and a long-term lifestyle market.

Fairmont Al Marjan Island

Fairmont will make its Ras Al Khaimah debut through a new hotel and branded residential development by Ardee Developments.

While detailed room numbers and an opening date have not yet been confirmed, guests can expect Fairmont’s established interpretation of luxury hospitality, with an emphasis on personalised service, destination dining, wellness and family-friendly resort experiences.

The arrival of Fairmont will help broaden Al Marjan Island’s appeal, particularly among families and international travellers seeking a more traditional luxury beachfront resort.

Nobu Hotel will introduce one of the world’s best-known culinary lifestyle brands to the island.

The destination is planned to include a Nobu Hotel, the signature Nobu Restaurant, branded residences, a spa, fitness facilities, swimming pools and a Nobu beach club.

Visitors can expect an experience built around contemporary design, Japanese-inspired simplicity, dining and relaxed beachfront luxury. The hotel also has the potential to strengthen Al Marjan Island’s restaurant and beach-club scene, attracting visitors who may come for the day as well as overnight guests.

W Al Marjan Island was announced as a lifestyle resort featuring around 300 rooms and suites, alongside branded residences.

Plans for the property include restaurants and bars, a signature WET Deck pool experience, spa and fitness facilities, event spaces and direct beach access.

With its emphasis on music, design, social experiences and nightlife, W could introduce a more energetic side to the island’s hospitality offering and appeal to a younger generation of luxury travellers.

A More Complete Island Destination

Each of these hotels brings a different identity to Al Marjan Island: Janu with socially driven wellness, JW Marriott with refined resort hospitality, Fairmont with established luxury, Nobu with dining and beach culture, and W with contemporary lifestyle and entertainment.

Together, they have the potential to create a more diverse and active destination, encouraging longer stays while giving residents and visitors access to a growing selection of restaurants, spas, beach clubs and leisure experiences.

The result will be an island defined not by a single attraction, but by a connected collection of hospitality experiences—positioning Al Marjan Island as one of the region’s most closely watched emerging resort destinations.
