Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island, RAK: A Local's Guide to the Two-Waterfront Resort

Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island is a five-star waterfront property on Al Marjan Island, known for being the only resort on the island with two waterfronts.

The resort is currently closed. Accor states that the property entered a planned transformation phase on 1 May 2026 and is targeted to reopen in early 2027 with a refreshed Pullman experience. Travellers should therefore not treat it as a currently bookable option until Accor confirms the reopening date.

Resort Overview

The refreshed resort is expected to retain its position as a family-friendly beach destination, with 300 rooms, suites and apartments. Accommodation ranges from standard rooms to one-, two- and three-bedroom suites, as well as a large Royal Suite for families and groups.

Published resort facilities include:

  • A private sandy beach

  • Three swimming pools, including indoor and outdoor options

  • Spa and fitness facilities

  • Water sports and family activities

  • Five restaurants and one bar

  • A children’s play area and family-focused accommodation

The property’s two-waterfront setting remains its most distinctive feature on Al Marjan Island.

Location

The resort is located on Marjan Island Boulevard, around 45 minutes by car from Dubai under normal conditions. Al Hamra Mall is approximately a seven-minute drive away, while the Al Marjan Island Boardwalk and surrounding waterfront areas can be reached from the resort district.

Rooms and Suites

The resort’s 300-room collection includes spacious 42-square-metre standard and superior rooms, alongside larger suites suited to families. Selected two- and three-bedroom suites include sea views and balconies, while the Royal Suite can accommodate larger groups.

Exact room designs, rates and availability may change during the transformation, so wait for the official reopening announcement before comparing categories.

Beach, Pools and Wellness

Official information lists a private beach and three pools, including indoor facilities within separate health clubs for men and women. The wellness areas also include gyms, Jacuzzis and spa treatments. Children under 16 are not permitted in the indoor pool areas.

Guests will also be within reach of Marjan Island beach and other coastal areas covered in our Al Marjan Island beaches guide.

Dining

The resort’s published dining plan includes five restaurants and a bar. Sunset Hub is planned as the resort’s elevated social venue for drinks, seafood and light dishes.

Should You Book It?

Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island is not currently available for a beach holiday because of its ongoing transformation. Accor is directing guests towards Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island during the closure.

For a currently operating, more affordable island stay, Rove Al Marjan Island is another option. Compare available properties through our Al Marjan Island hotels guide.
