Motorists across Ras Al Khaimah and the rest of the UAE will see higher fuel prices at the pump in September 2026, following the latest monthly adjustment.
The new rates apply from September 1, 2026, with increases across Super 98, Special 95, E-Plus 91 and diesel compared with August.
For drivers in Ras Al Khaimah, especially those commuting regularly or covering longer distances across the emirate, even a small change per litre can make a noticeable difference over the course of the month.
UAE Fuel Prices for September 2026
The fuel prices for September are:
-
Super 98: AED 3.80 per litre
-
Special 95: AED 3.69 per litre
-
E-Plus 91: AED 3.61 per litre
-
Diesel: AED 4.30 per litre
These prices apply across the UAE throughout September 2026.
How Do September Fuel Prices Compare with August?
Fuel prices have increased across all categories compared with August 2026.
In August, motorists paid:
-
Super 98: AED 3.60 per litre
-
Special 95: AED 3.49 per litre
-
E-Plus 91: AED 3.41 per litre
-
Diesel: AED 3.80 per litre
That means petrol has increased by 20 fils per litre across all three grades.
Diesel has seen a larger increase of 50 fils per litre.
For petrol, the month-on-month adjustment is around 5.5% to 5.9%, depending on the fuel grade.
How Much Will a Full Tank Cost?
The difference becomes easier to understand when you look at the cost of filling a complete tank.
60-Litre Tank
For a 60-litre tank in September:
Super 98
AED 3.80 × 60 = AED 228
Special 95
AED 3.69 × 60 = AED 221.40
E-Plus 91
AED 3.61 × 60 = AED 216.60
Diesel
AED 4.30 × 60 = AED 258
Compared with August, a 60-litre petrol fill now costs around AED 12 more, while the equivalent diesel fill costs around AED 30 more.
What About an 80-Litre Tank?
Drivers of larger SUVs and other vehicles with bigger tanks will see a slightly more noticeable difference.
For an 80-litre fill:
-
Super 98: AED 304
-
Special 95: AED 295.20
-
E-Plus 91: AED 288.80
-
Diesel: AED 344
Compared with August, an 80-litre petrol fill costs approximately AED 16 more.
For diesel, the difference rises to around AED 40 per 80-litre fill.
Are Fuel Prices Still Below Their 2026 Peak?
Yes.
Although September prices are higher than August, petrol remains below some of the highest levels recorded earlier in 2026.
In June 2026, fuel prices reached:
-
Super 98: AED 3.95 per litre
-
Special 95: AED 3.83 per litre
-
E-Plus 91: AED 3.76 per litre
-
Diesel: AED 4.33 per litre
This means September petrol prices remain around 14 to 15 fils per litre below June levels.
For a 60-litre tank, that works out to approximately:
-
Super 98: AED 9 less than June
-
Special 95: AED 8.40 less than June
-
E-Plus 91: AED 9 less than June
So while motorists will pay more than they did in August, petrol is still slightly cheaper than during the mid-year peak.
What Does This Mean for Ras Al Khaimah Drivers?
For drivers who only fill up once or twice per month, the September adjustment may result in a relatively small increase in monthly spending.
The impact becomes more noticeable for those who:
-
Commute daily between Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai
-
Drive long distances for work
-
Operate larger SUVs
-
Own more than one vehicle
-
Use commercial or diesel vehicles
-
Refuel several times each month
A driver using 120 litres of Special 95 in a month, for example, will spend:
September: AED 442.80
August: AED 418.80
That is a difference of AED 24 over the month.
Why Do UAE Fuel Prices Change Every Month?
Fuel prices in the UAE are reviewed on a monthly basis.
The country's fuel pricing mechanism takes global energy market movements into account, which means local pump prices can rise or fall from one month to the next.
Changes in international oil prices and wider energy market conditions can therefore be reflected in what drivers pay locally.
The new price schedule is normally announced at the end of each month and becomes effective from the first day of the following month.
Which Petrol Should You Use?
The right fuel depends on the manufacturer's recommendation for your vehicle.
E-Plus 91
Usually suitable for vehicles designed to operate on lower-octane petrol.
Special 95
One of the most commonly used fuel grades in the UAE and suitable for many passenger vehicles.
Super 98
Designed for vehicles that require higher-octane petrol, including certain high-performance engines.
Using a higher grade than your vehicle requires does not necessarily improve performance, so check your owner's manual or the fuel recommendation displayed inside the fuel door.
Simple Ways to Reduce Fuel Consumption
With fuel prices changing from month to month, small driving habits can help reduce overall consumption.
Try to:
-
Maintain correct tyre pressure
-
Avoid unnecessary hard acceleration
-
Keep your vehicle regularly serviced
-
Remove unnecessary weight from the car
-
Plan routes before travelling
-
Combine several errands into one journey
-
Avoid excessive idling
-
Drive smoothly at a consistent speed where possible
Even small improvements in fuel efficiency can add up for drivers who spend a lot of time on the road.
