5 Exciting Indoor Activities for Adults in Ras Al Khaimah

Looking for something more exciting than another café visit this summer? From horror-filled escape rooms to competitive virtual battles, Ras Al Khaimah has several indoor experiences perfect for friends, couples and team outings. Here are five activities to try while staying comfortably away from the summer heat.

1. Test Your Courage at Lights Out

Enter The School Room at Lights Out, a horror-themed escape room where your team must solve puzzles and uncover clues before time runs out. The experience lasts 60 minutes and accommodates two to ten players, making it an ideal choice for groups of friends or colleagues.

Lights Out is located in Al Dhait South and operates from 4:00 p.m. to midnight, Tuesday to Sunday, with Monday closed. Players should arrive around 15 minutes before their session for safety instructions.

2. Battle Your Friends at Battleworld

Located inside RAK Mall, Battleworld offers a futuristic alternative to traditional laser tag. Players move freely around a large virtual-reality arena while competing in immersive team battles—without wires or backpacks restricting their movement.

The VR Arena accommodates two to ten players, with each game lasting approximately 40 minutes. Open sessions currently start from AED 79 per person, while groups can reserve the entire arena for AED 790. Booking ahead is recommended, particularly for private games and weekend visits.

3. Go Bowling at Super Bowling

For a more relaxed but still competitive night out, visit Super Bowling. The centre features 12 professional bowling lanes alongside billiards, arcade games, air hockey, foosball and a café, giving groups plenty to enjoy between games.

The main centre is open daily from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m., making it one of the best late-night indoor activities in Ras Al Khaimah. Super Bowling also operates a second branch at Al Naeem City Center. Contact the venue before visiting to confirm current game rates and lane availability.

4. Survive the Grim Hotel at Flipped

The Grim Hotel at Flipped in Manar Mall is a haunted walkthrough filled with dark corridors, frightening encounters and unexpected scares. The standalone haunted-house experience lasts approximately nine minutes and currently costs AED 50 per person.

For a longer outing, the AED 99 Super Pass includes the haunted house, trampoline access and one flying VR ride over a two-hour visit. Flipped operates from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and until midnight Friday to Sunday.

5. Enter Another World at Planet VR

Also located inside Manar Mall, Planet VR offers several high-tech experiences for competitive groups and gaming enthusiasts. Attractions include a free-roaming multiplayer VR arena, F1 racing simulators, flight simulators, interactive games, roller-coaster experiences and futuristic VR bowling.

It is a particularly good option for groups with different interests, as visitors can compete in team missions, race against one another or try several shorter virtual experiences in one location. Contact the venue beforehand to confirm current packages, prices and session availability.

Whether you want to solve terrifying puzzles, challenge your friends in a virtual battle or compete for the highest bowling score, these five indoor activities offer an entertaining way to enjoy summer in Ras Al Khaimah.

Prices, operating hours and availability were checked in August 2026 but may change. Advance booking is recommended, especially during evenings and weekends.
